Carbon Credits & Projects
Closing the net zero gap with credible credits for emissions not yet technically or economically abatable.
Net zero last mile, done properly: quality credits, clear claims, and reputational risk control.
Carbon credits can play a credible role in limiting climate change when they sit within a robust decarbonisation strategy and are governed with clear integrity and claims rules. As carbon markets evolve, organisations that engage early are better positioned to secure higher-quality supply, manage reputational risk, and build a portfolio that remains credible as standards tighten.
Futureproof Solutions curates tailored carbon portfolios aligned with science-based principles. We prioritise deep emissions reductions first, then support the strategic use of high-integrity credits for residual emissions, spanning avoidance, reduction, and removals, with a clear pathway toward higher durability storage over time.
We maximise exposure to high-integrity projects while actively managing reputational and compliance risk. We also support carbon project development from origination to certification and issuance, across nature-based solutions, removals, and engineered approaches, with hands-on guidance to deliver measurable climate impact and meaningful co-benefits.
Our approach is continuously updated and aligned to the revised 2024 Oxford Principles for Net Zero Aligned Carbon Offsetting, SBTi guidance on Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM), and integrity benchmarks such as ICVCM and ICROA.

Our carbon programmes support organisations taking responsibility for residual emissions that cannot yet be avoided or reduced. We help you use high-integrity credits as a last-mile tool within a robust decarbonisation pathway, with clear governance over quality, claims, and disclosure.
Project selection is driven by strict integrity criteria, including additionality, quantification, permanence, leakage management, safeguards, and robust MRV, aligned with recognised market benchmarks such as ICVCM Core Carbon Principles.
-
We support companies and investors deploying capital into carbon projects that generate future credits, alongside value chain decarbonisation. Support can cover project origination screening, feasibility, methodology pathway, MRV design, safeguards, and certification and issuance readiness.
We work across nature-based solutions, carbon removals, and engineered approaches, including regenerative agriculture pathways where relevant, with a focus on delivery risk, integrity, and measurable climate impact.

Energy Attribute Certificates are contractual instruments that track renewable electricity attributes separately from physical electricity delivery and support credible renewable electricity claims when correctly issued, tracked, and retired. This includes instruments such as Guarantees of Origin (GoOs) and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
EACs are primarily relevant to market-based Scope 2 accounting (not location-based). We help you align EAC strategy to recognised reporting expectations (for example, GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance), strengthen evidence and retirement controls, and ensure claims are accurate and defensible.
Our Approach to EACs
Quantify electricity consumption by country, entity, and reporting year.
Define procurement criteria (vintage, geography, technology type, emissionality, additionality preferences, third-party assurance options) aligned to your reporting and claims needs.
Procure and retire certificates with traceable documentation and clear ownership and cancellation evidence.
Make credible claims supported by a claims memo that aligns wording to your disclosure framework and risk appetite.
-
We co-create value chain insetting programmes that deliver measurable Scope 3 reductions and supplier action, while strengthening supply chain resilience. These interventions are designed with clear baselines, targets, MRV, and governance, so they can credibly support Scope 3 decarbonisation and contribute to Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM) objectives.

Business travel is rebounding and remains a hard-to-abate emissions source for many organisations. Aviation accounts for about 2.5% of global CO₂ emissions, but contributes a larger share to warming once non-CO₂ effects are considered. At the same time, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) scale-up is progressing slowly and is unlikely to deliver aviation decarbonisation on its own, which increases the importance of demand management, modal shift, and credible responsibility measures for residual travel emissions.
We help you operationalise a travel emissions programme that is practical for the business and credible under sustainability scrutiny. We combine accurate footprinting with policy levers that reduce emissions at source, and a governed approach to taking responsibility for residual travel emissions using high-integrity carbon credits and defensible claims.

Position your portfolio for growth by investing in carbon projects that generate future carbon credits. This innovative and strategic approach supports both financial returns and sustainability goals.
With rising regulatory pressure and increasing corporate net-zero commitments, demand for carbon credits is expected to grow significantly. By investing in early-stage carbon projects, you can unlock substantial upside potential as the market matures. We provide comprehensive support to help you navigate and capitalise on these opportunities.

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are long-term contracts that allow businesses to secure clean electricity from renewable energy providers at a fixed price. Through a PPA, companies can directly source renewable energy from wind, solar, or hydro projects without the need for on-site infrastructure or significant capital investment.
We support businesses throughout the entire Power Purchase Agreement journey, from strategy and sourcing to negotiation and implementation. Whether you’re considering physical, virtual, or sleeved PPAs, our experts will help you identify the right solution to meet your energy, financial, and sustainability goals with confidence.
